SUMMER FAYRE (Sun 25 July 2010) and BEST BALLOGIE BISCUIT COMPETITION

The Summer Fayre and Best Ballogie Biscuit competition was held on a warm sunny day from 10 to 2pm on Sunday 25 July. 10 stall holders and 6 car boots had a variety of goods and produce on sale. A large number of local residents, and many residents and holiday makers from adjacent ares, made it the best Fayre yet. Money raised from 3 of the car boot sales went to Help for Heroes, One-to-One counselling, and the Aboyne Guides. Teas and coffees were provided by One-to-One counselling.

To add to the 'Fun of the Fayre', a Best Ballogie Biscuit competition was held. There were 12 adult entries, 2 in the under 12'2, and one from a dog!! Isobel McRobbie from Ballogie was the judge and she said that all the entries were of a very high standard and she had difficulty in choosing the top 3. The winner was Patsy Younie from Ballogie. Second was Gemma Reid from Echt, and third was Kay Kewley from Strachan. The winner ov the under 12's was Louis Harker of Ballogie, and the dog entry was highly commended!!
