AUTUMN FAYRE AND CHUTNEY COMPETITION - Sun 26 September 2010

The Ballogie Autumn Fayre and Boot Sale was held on Sunday 26 September and again was very popular and visited by many locals and visitors. The seven stalls and four Car Boots all did a steady trade as did the Aboyne Girl Guides car wash. The excellent Tarland Patient Transport Group coffee shop also proved very popular.

To add to the fun of this fayre there was the 'Best Ballogie Chutney Competition'. There were eight entries with Kay Kewley from Strachan declared the winner and Chris Fern from Torphins second. The judge was Nikki Bradford from Kincardine Castle Kitchen.

The Winter Fayre will be held from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 4 December. Stall holders will be there selling Xmas gifts and cards as well as Xmas trees. The competition for this fayre will be the 'Best Ballogie Homemade Christmas Card'. There will be a group for adults and another for the under 12's.
